Application is taking longer to reload using Qlik ODBC connector package

Applications are taking significantly longer to reload using the Qlik ODBC connector package connectors, for example when connecting to an Oracle Database.

 Environment:

Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows 
Qlik ODBC Connector Package 5.2 and 5.12.0

The issue is related to the configuration setting for the Qlik ODBC driver reading strategy. 

There is a known issue with reload times taking a significantly longer time when using the Qlik ODBC driver. 

Workarounds:

1. Use an ODBC System DSN or OLE DB connection, for example instead of the Qlik Oracle connector the original Oracle ODBC driver
2. Revert back to the previous working Qlik ODBC connector package 
3. Change the reading strategy within the current connector (in this case using the example Oracle connection):
   • Set "oracle-reading-strategy value=engine" in C:\ProgramFiles\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvOdbcConnectorPackage\QvODBCConnector.exe.config
   • "oracle-reading-strategy value=connector" should be removed.
