Qlik Sense connector (from the ODBC connector package like for example Oracle, MS SQL, Hive, Redshift, etc...) fails randomly with the following error message which can be found in the script and the Qlik ODBC connector package log:
Error: Connector connect error: Error starting QvConnect process: Instance 'QvOdbcConnectorPackage#1' does not exist in the specified Category.

The issue is related to a software defect and has been solved in the Qlik Sense version August 2021.
Upgrade your Qlik Sense version to any version after Qlik Sense August 2021. The ODBC connector package will be automatically upgraded as well.
Workaround:
Besides doing an upgrade to Qlik Sense August 2021, there are the following workarounds available:
- Check if the affected connector has a connector reading strategy "engine" if yes, then try to change it to "connector", like for example " <add key="redshift-reading-strategy" value="connector" />" (this can be done in the config file " QvOdbcConnectorPackage.exe.config" under "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvOdbcConnectorPackage"
- Try to add "<add key="QlikEngineLocation" value="C:\Program Files\Qlik\Sense\Engine\QvConnect64.exe" />" in the ODBC connector package config file
