General guidelines for editing live templates in Blendr

We always recommend to follow the below guidelines when we need some changes to be implemented within live templates/bundles that are already in use by customers. As we don’t yet have a ‘Save as draft’ feature for templates, the steps to be followed here in order to still have the original template installable could be:

• Make a copy of the original template

• Make sure the copy is set to ‘hidden’

• Update the copy of the template

• When it’s ready, download the workspace

• Upload it over the original template.

In order to push the update to your customers who are using this template, the saas admin can use the update functionality which comes under the ‘Instances’ menu

Please also note if the changes made to the template are breaking change for the instances it's advisable to create a new version of the template.
