Documentation Issue Reported:
Source help page: Qlik NPrinting messaging service (RabbitMQ) start up and connection problems
- Please note that our current documentation for May 2021 IR and SR 1 is complete
- However, there have been changes to NPrinting from May 2021 SR 2 SR 3 and SR 4 related to the RabbitMQ Version in use and Erlang Home directory variable information that are missing from the current documentation
Current documentation states:
Recreate the Qlik NPrinting messaging service (this is correct for May 2021 IR and SR 1)
- Navigate to the RabbitMQ sbin folder: %ProgramFiles%\NPrintingServer\rabbitmq_server-3.8.3\sbin
- Add the system environment variable ERLANG_HOME (if missing) with the path to the Erlang base folder (C:\Program Files\erl10.6)
Current documentation should also include - for May 2021 SR 2 SR 3 and SR 4 (and other releases in this track to follow) - the lines below:
Recreate the Qlik NPrinting messaging service
- Navigate to the RabbitMQ sbin folder: %ProgramFiles%\NPrintingServer\rabbitmq_server-3.8.21\sbin
- Add the system environment variable ERLANG_HOME (if missing) with the path to the Erlang base folder (C:\Program Files\erl-24.0)
Resolution:
- This issue is being managed internally via internal ID HLP-12277 and will be resolved in a future release of the NPrinting Help pages
- If running NPrinting May 2021 SR 2, 3 or 4, please refer to the section Current documentation should also include above in your diagnosis and troubleshooting efforts
