As for the Qlik Sense Map object Area Layer and ToolTip customization, it is not possible to customize the "Show Label" on the map chart in Qlik Sense i.e. there is no possibility to customize the value displayed by "show label" option.

When adding "Area Layer" to an object map, “Show Label” allows to set a text label with the layer's location on the map.

Resolution:

This functionality will not be implemented  (not on the Map Object road map).
Try with the Map extension of Qlik GeoAnalytics.

The Geoanalytics extension has the same issue, you've got no control over the size/color/font of the label. Users have an expectation that we can modify this as other products are able to do it. Saying to try the Geoanalytics extension as a work around for this is pretty poor.
