The document ... failed to load: a .qvf file created by Qlik Sense cannot be opened in QlikView

When opening a .qvf in QlikView, this error appears:

The document name failed to load: a .qvf file created by Qlik Sense cannot be opened in QlikView

Environment

• QlikView May 2022 (12.70) IR or higher

Resolution

Starting with May 2022, QlikView is now able to open .qvf files as long as they are:

• QlikView applications saved in .qvf format in the Desktop Client
• QlikView application published to the Qlik Cloud and downloaded from there

QlikView is not able to open Qlik Sense .qvf files.

You will need to open those files in a Qlik Sense client.
