You see a much higher ram footprint in a fresh reload in comparison with repeated reloads
Environment
- Qlik Sense Enterprise: all versions
- Qlik Cloud
Cause
Unusual high RAM consumption during a fresh reload can be caused by search indexing.
Resolution
It is possible to disable search indexing in the reload script, essentially postponing the indexing. or more granular, completely disabling indexing of fields that won't be searched
Disabling the search indexing will result in a lower peak of RAM consumption
To disable the indexing in the Engine, uncheck the Engine setting in the Advanced section in QMC. This will disable indexing globally.
To completely disable search indexing , ensure that the feature is also disabled in the script, as it can also be set there.
