QlikWorld 2023 was a huge success, and we were all so happy to meet so many amazing people from all over the globe. This month we will give a high five to a Qlikkie who took one for the team. She stepped up at the last minute without hesitation, rearranged her schedule, and made travel plans to join the Connect with Qlik booth, where the Qlik Community was the hot topic! She is an active member of the Community, and you can find her regularly sharing the Support Updates blog. It is a great pleasure to announce this month's featured member, Katie Davis, Senior Customer Experience Program Manager at Qlik!
Katie Davis joined Qlik almost two years ago and was immediately welcomed by the members of the Qlik Community. Katie was tasked with sharing Global Support news via Support webinars and our Support Updates blog. As her role has expanded, she loves keeping a pulse on the buzz in Qlik Community so she can turn your trending inquiries into new resources and keep customer adoption and success at the center of her program initiatives.
Katie lives outside of Philadelphia with her husband and energetic doodle named Bowser. She and her husband went to the University of Delaware, where they met on the Mascot team and performed as the Blue Hen. Katie tries to bring the same spirit and passion into her career. Before Qlik, she had various positions in the finance sector, spanning from analytics to marketing, all with a project/business management focus. Qlik was a household name at her last company, and she couldn't be more thrilled to work with the best team and be part of such a thriving community!
Let's show Katie how much we appreciate her with a "High Five" by leaving a "comment" and a "like."

I try to explore the Machine learning in Qlik auto ML and compare with normal use machine learning in python what is the different thing
So the first of all I try to apply to use Qlik Auto ML by using Regression to predict the sales with my dataset after i upload the data found that qlik show the experiment with algorithm many suggestion ; and rank to top algorithm to use Catbosst Reg to use these algorithm has R2 around 98%
second test I try to apply same dataset to the python and use library Sklearn for use Linear Regression but found that the result of R2 just only 14%
the Question is algorithm suggestion in Qlik sense is suitable to apply right as Catboost Reg? that has a more reliable to apply ?
I have not been able to submit any new ideas for a while now. week or 2.
Logged a support ticket, supposedly this is a known issue but I cannot find any posts related to it, to follow to find out when it is going to be fixed.
When is the IDEAS area on the community going to be fixed so that we can post new ideas?
where can we track this issue?
has this problem been told to the community at large?
I created a variable called threshold_upper. Now, I want the table to filter according to the values assigned to the variable.
The write a syntax in conditional expression but it is not working.
Suggest me if something is wrong in this or any other formula.
I was thinking of a bad joke for April fool’s day, but then I realized it’s on a Saturday, and this won’t be posted until the 3rd. So, you have all been spared! So, hello, April!
As springtime slowly creeps into the US, it’s a perfect time to honor a well-deserved Qlikkie. This person is highly active in the Community and very diligent when posting. He goes above and beyond helping our Community members, working hard to ensure all questions have a response. He has been a member since 2012 and is closing in on 2K posts, 1K of his provided solutions marked as correct, and the likewise with giving and receiving likes. Therefore, it is with great honor to introduce you to Chip Matejowsky, a Qlik Sr. Technical Support Engineer who continually impresses us daily.
A message from Chip:
My name is Chip Matejowsky. I sit on the Signature Support team based in Raleigh, NC. I have been with Qlik for almost 11 years, all in Support. I’m a SME in QlikView, aspects of Qlik Sense and Connectivity. I thoroughly enjoy assisting our customers and users on Qlik Community.
I love going to “Trivia Nights” at a local pub, hiking with my daughter, watching my son’s football games, sipping on an Old Fashioned while sitting around the fire pit with family and friends, and hanging out with my dog Fred.
We are so lucky to have Chip’s presence in the Qlik Community. Let’s show him how much we appreciate his contributions to the Qlik Community and give him a “High Five” by leaving a “Like” and “Comment” below. Meet Oleg Troyansky! A Qlik Community MVP, Partner Ambassador, and exemplary leader in the Qlik Community. This month we are honoring his contributions to the Qlik Community. Oleg started using the Qlik Community in 2009, posted thousands of times, and provided countless solutions. He constantly shows appreciation. Fun fact: Oleg is not only going to QlikWorld, but he also secured a spot as a speaker! Oleg will share best practices of Qlik Sense application development for optimized performance. Review typical causes of performance issues in data models and in sheet objects and will also show examples of using QSDA Pro for performance diagnostics and optimization. https://qlikworld2023.smarteventscloud.com/cap/app/sessions#697786

When it comes to my Qlik-based professional career, I can say that I grew up in the Qlik Community from its first days. At that time, I was one of a few people who answered all questions, which served me greatly! Most of the time, I didn't have the answers ready, so I had to research all the tricky issues that developers were facing, and that helped me learn the tool in ways I'd never explore otherwise. Over time, many other experts started answering questions, allowing me to step back and focus on other areas. To this day, however, Qlik Community to me is what Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn do to other people - it's where I hang out routinely, trying to help people.
Outside of Qlik Community, I run my consulting company Natural Synergies Consulting Inc., which provides expert services, education, and mentoring to Qlik customers and partners. So, if you need expert help, please don't hesitate to contact me. In addition, I enjoy playing music with my friends, reading, and woodworking in my free time.
QlikWorld, previously known as Qonnections, previously known as QlikView User Group, is also one of my everlasting traditions. Since the first-ever QlikView User Group meeting in Raleigh, where all QlikTech employees, partners, and customers could fit in a small room, I hardly missed a single Qlik conference. To me, it's always a lot of fun, great networking, and great energy that's shared among all. Usually, I deliver a technical breakout session on one of my favorite topics. This year, I will share my view on the Good Habits of Qlik Sense Performance. This is one of the staple topics of the Masters Summit for Qlik (https://masterssummit.com) and of my Master Class, which can be ordered privately, and this year I will be sharing these methodologies with the QlikWorld attendees that come to my session.

I am the QA Analyst for a project where we have a data warehouse on a SQL Server database, with Qlik serving as the front end for report visualization.
Our primary goal from a QA perspective is to validate that the data displayed on Qlik reports is correct and consistent with the data stored in the SQL Server database tables.
Currently, we are able to perform this validation manually, but we are interested in automating the process to improve efficiency and reduce potential errors.
I would appreciate any guidance or recommendations on how to proceed with automating our QA validation.
Thank you in advance for your help!
I am beginner of in QA automation. I just googled it about this scenario and got to know that it can be done using python.

Happy February, Qlik Community.
It is super important that we keep our Qlik Community spam free. Besides our spam filter, we rely on our members to let us know when spam is identified. We began to notice Mark through his frequent reports of spam and suspicious activity. We are extremely grateful for Mark and his dedication to ensuring a safe environment for all.
Meet Mark Winter, a Qlik Community rising star! Mark holds the 'Creator' rank, joined the Qlik Community in 2019, and is logged in daily helping others and posting regularly. Mark is a perfect example of a member shifting from consumer of information to interacting in the Community and making a difference. Let's give Mark a High five by leaving a "like" and "comment" to show our appreciation! Below is a message from Mark:
Hi, everyone in our Qlik Community ,
I'm Mark, and I work for a large financial organisation operating across the globe, living in Sheffield in the north of England with my wife, eight-year-old son, and our cat, Rosie . Being there for the family takes up most of my time, mainly as a keen home cook
and a football (soccer) coach helping out with the team my son plays with. Between all that, I have ambitions to start picking up and learning to play acoustic guitar
. As a family, we love spending time with our extended family and friends, planning our next holidays (vacations) together, and enjoying the natural world around us closer to home, with which we're very blessed.
The Qlik Community is a place I have a great affection for. While it's something we can all give to, it's also something we can all take a share of in our times of need. I take quiet satisfaction in being able to help out someone struggling with an issue I know I can help toward finding a solution for. Still, I know that it is always there to be repaid many times over in return by others, for which I am always thankful - the sum of our shared experience is greater than any single one could ever be.
Great to meet you all!
Mark
