Working with QPI and new versions of PostgreSQL

Hi Qlikkers,

Just a simple question, the QPI utility do an upgrade of a PostgreSQL version 9.x or 12.x to 14. Are there any plans to to do this upgrade to version 15 or 16 of PostgreSQL?

IN the next version for May 2026 we will be using  a higher version, likely version 17 or 18. PostgreSQL 14 goes end of life soon

one question, the new release of May 2026 of QPI make the upgrade to Postgres 16? o only detach the current installation.?

Is there an update on how and when the move to PostgreSQL version 17/18 is going to be made? I have client's that are reporting a Security alert on the version 14 version and it is no point going through the aggravation of trying to manually upgrade it to a later version of 14, when it is out of support soon. I am talking about Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows which still has a bundled install of PostgreSQL.

PostgreSQL 14.22, which was installed in May 2026, is affected by CVE 2026 6471.

According to PostgreSQL, this vulnerability has been resolved in version 14.24.
We are currently upgrading and unbundling PostgreSQL to this version at our clients.

At this stage, the main point is what is planned for the November 2026 release next month, particularly whether it includes any PostgreSQL related changes or updates that may affect our current upgrade plan.

Hi .. The last version of Qlik PostgreSQL Installer was September 2025 ... Are there any plans to release a new version to upgrade to PostgreSQL 16, 17 or 18?
