Hi,
We have a customer who is currently using Qlik Sense on-premises and plans to evaluate Qlik Cloud in a side-by-side setup.
Is it possible to perform a binary load from an on-prem Qlik Sense app into a Qlik Cloud app for testing and adaptation purposes?
If not directly possible, are there any recommended approaches or best practices for replicating data models between the two environments?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
You do not need to use Binary loads. You can set up Cloud instance and connect your on prem to this. Then you can set up on that when app is reloaded on prem it is also published to Cloud. On the first time this happen you do need to then assign it to the correct space.
We currently run a hybrid model with front end users ingesting via cloud and we develop on prem.

Hi @Mark_Little
Thanks for the response.
From what I’ve found so far, it looks like I can create an external task in the QMC to run a PowerShell script that pushes the QVF to the cloud.
Is that what you're currently doing?
Is there another recommended way to achieve this?
Thanks again!
It’s not an external task. You’ll need to create a distribution task.
Here’s the documentation for it:
Hi !!
To publish an app automaticaly from Qlik Client Managed Distribution Task only works if you have the Multi Cloud License. But if you export the app from Qlik and import into Cloud its also an option.
Bye!
