Qlik ODAG via API on SaaS

I am able to make valid requests (w/ response status 200) when I use this URL:

https://{my-tenant}.{my-region}.qlikcloud.com/api/v1/spaces

or

https://{my-tenant}.{my-region}.qlikcloud.com/api/v1/apps/{my-app-id}

etc, when I pass the appropriate bearer token in the request.

I am attempting to do the same to make requests using the ODAG API, but cannot figure out the correct url/syntax.

I have tried the below to no avail:

https://{my-tenant}.{my-region}.qlikcloud.com/api/v1/odag/links

Can someone please help me figure out what I'm missing? This is in Qlik Cloud (SaaS).

Thanks!

Hi @rabader

It doesn't look like this is supported in the Cloud. I know its supported for on prem installations.

@JandreKillianRIC .. do you mean QLik Sense Cloud (SaaS) when say Cloud Compatible and Qlik Sense Enterprise when say Cloud Managed Compatible. Kindly reassure.

Hi @prads_uk_2025

That is correct. Here is the link (Compatibility for Client Managed vs Saas)

@JandreKillianRIC this was really very quick. Appreciate it. Also, if you can assist a bit more. I am trying to achiveve: Qlik Application Automation in Qlik Sense SaaS -

Based on the Date selected in a Qlik dashboard
Automatically trigger an ODAG (On-Demand App Generation) click on the Button

saving the 3 extra clicks for the User. Is it even possible using Automations in Qlik Sense SaaS. The Lookup thingy is taking time of the century to run and load.

So, was checking API and came across you post. Just wanna reassure that Calling API on button click for ODAG generation is possible or not?

I would really appreciate your guidance here.

Hi @prads_uk_2025

This sounds like a cool solution - However I don't see anything from Automations or from the API side.

This might be something to post in the Ideation section?

Hi @prads_uk_2025

Also spoke to someone at Qlik now - They say there is nothing in Qlik Automate (Application Automation) and this is currently being set up in the cloud as it was on prem - So hopefully soon!

Thank you so much for going extra miles. I couldn't raise a ticket in Ideation though. I would be glad if you do it on everyone's behalf.
