Restrict Qlik CLi usage

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to limit/restric qlik cli usage to a developer to the follwing user cases:

  • Allocate user/group entitlement
  • Allocate security role to user/group
  • Assign user/group to a space (managed or shared)
  • Check if user account is active
  • Deactivate a user account
  • Reactivate a user account

Thank you

Hi @random_user_3869 ,

there is no distinction in the permissions a user has when using the web interface and the cli.

So, if they have permission to allocate a role in the console, they will have it with the cli as well. If they don't have that permission in the console, they won't have it with the cli.

Hi @Daniele_Purrone  thank you for the answer.

SO what you're saying is that in order to performe those actions the user need to have the following security role:

  • Tenant Admin
  • Developer

I would like to avoid giving tenant admin role but i assume it's not possible isn't it ?

Thank you

So the same apply for automation.

By that i mean if ui create an event type automation when i assign a role to a user.

The owner of the automation should have the proper right i assume

Hi @random_user_3869
Exactly. The roles extended to the whole platform.
