Getting insights from sales data

Hi,

Can someone guide me on how to write queries/ logic to get insights like below, I am attaching a sample format of my data.

  1. Productive Store

                 a) P1M (Past 1 month)

                 b) P3M (Past 3 months)

                 c) P12M

                 d) how to compare vs previous month (OR this year current month vs last year same month)

  2. Brand Distribution - Brand billed in how many stores

                 a) P1M

                 b) P3M

                 c) P12M

                 d) how to compare vs previous month

  3. SKU Distribution

                 a) P1M

                 b) P3M

                 c) P12M

                 d) how to compare vs previous month

  4. Avg Purchase Qty of SKU

                 a) P1M

                 b) P3M

                 c) P12M

                 d) how to compare vs previous month

  5. Comparison in bar charts

                a) this year vs last year same period

                b) month vs target

                c) H1 vs target

                d) year vs target

Looks like analysis is based on Invoice Date. if so all you need is a calendar with prior period flags which inturn will connect to your Invoice Date in data model. In UI you have to use Set analysis to get your answers.

Search for Master Calendar and there are tons of resources.
