Hi Guys,
Can anyone help me here?
You need Qlik Sense Desktop to convert a Qlikview document to a Qlik Sense app. Qlik Sense Server can't convert Qlikview documents. You can find more information in the online help.
THe data model should convert across like for like. The visualisations you will need toacreage from scratch as you will need to adjust to some of thefeatures missing in sense and take advantage of features not available in view. It's not a straight convert job you will need to rebuild the front end of your dashboard from scratch.
The conversion tool is avaialble in 3.2 release: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/3.2/Subsystems/Dev-Hub/Content/ConversionTool/conversion...
No visualizations are converted, but Scripts, Dimensions, Measures, Variables conversion is supported.

The converter tool actually converts visualizations as well. It will create master objects of the ones you chose to export. Not all QlikView visualizations have a corresponding visualization in Qlik Sense though, and those objects can't be exported.
Not exactly....
I agree it supposed to convert visualizations as well (at least compatible ones), but it's not doing it yet (at least in the current release). It displayed the Error 500 every time I've selected a visualization item...
I am discussing the issue right now with francesco.menin ( Qlik Sense 3.2 Converter Tool error 500 ) and I will follow up with Qlik support about it.
Regards,
Vlad
As far as I tested, on a server version it works fine.
I do have a server installation... Did not try on the Desktop yet... It's failing on my 3.2.0 Server version....
VK
do you know if it generates any logs on the Desktop version?
It should... Do not have a system with Desktop installed though....
I've checked all logs on my system and have found few records in error.log file related to the application I am trying to convert: configurationFile.json and qsbuild.js files are mentioned .....
