2.2 Alternative dimensions and measures missing from table and pivottable?

I was really looking forward to the new Alternative dimensions and measures feature. But I am disappointed that it's not available for the table and pivottable. Is it on the roadmap?

Edit mode is a scary place for non powerusers, and if an app corrupts the user sheet is lost.

Yes, that´s absolutely disappointing and Qlik has to bring it shortly...

This feature has his biggest advantage using it in Table or Pivot.

After playing around with alternative dimensions/measures I think the exploratory menu is to similar to edit mode. I think that changing dimension/measures need to be "closer" to the user interface, like in Qlikview with the circle arrow.

What's implemented now is a complicated take on circular dimensions, and not intuitive for users. For clarity I think the circle arrow is not that intuitive either.

I would like to have alternative measures in a radio button list that's visible when hovering over the chart. Something like NVD3. Horizontal Multi-Bar Chart - NVD3

I am really hoping Qlik are planing something like this brilliant Customizable Straight Table by jmc for the table and pivottable in 3.0.

  • Checkboxes for dimensions and measures. Add or remove as many as you like
  • Drag-able column order for tables, like in Qlikview
  • More formatting options for cells

I found the Customizable straight table too time consuming to set up. But otherwise it was good

But I think Qlik has done a great job with this drill around type feature. Much quicker to set up and no more difficult to use.  And I'm sure uses will get use to this feature very quickly.

Agree. Hopefully they do this in their next release
