AD GROUPS NOT WORKING IN QLIK SENSE - SECTION ACCESS

Hi All,

The Problem --> Qlik Sense section access is working with USERID, NTNAME, but not ADGROUPS.

Currently we use LDAP to grab users from Active Directory.

EXAMPLE:

ADGROUP SYNTAX --> EXAMPLE1: Call.Center.MGMT

                                      EXAMPLE2: Sales.Account.Team

NTNAME-->  EXAMPLE1: JRAM

                    EXAMPLE2: SREE

USERID SYNTAX --> EXAMPLE1: JRAM

                                  EXAMPLE2: SREE

JRAM is a part of Call.Center.MGMT

SREE is a part of Sales.Account.Team

DOMAIN --> QLIKWORKS

OSUSER() --> QLIKWORKS\JRAM

HERE IS WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN'T WORK:

USERID WORKS:

SECTION ACCESS;

LOAD * INLINE [

    ACCESS, USERID, AREAID, REGIONID, TERRITORYID

ADMIN, QVSENSE

USER, INTERNAL\SA_SCHEDULER

USER, DOMAIN\USERID

USER, DOMAIN\USERID, 01

USER, DOMAIN\USERID, 02, P111111

USER, DOMAIN\USERID, 08, K111111

];

SECTION APPLICATION;

NTNAME WORKS:

SECTION ACCESS;

LOAD * INLINE [

    ACCESS, NTNAME, AREAID, REGIONID, TERRITORYID

ADMIN, QVSENSE

USER, INTERNAL\SA_SCHEDULER

USER, DOMAIN\NTNAME

USER, DOMAIN\NTNAME, 01

USER, DOMAIN\NTNAME, 02, P111111

USER, DOMAIN\NTNAME, 08, K111111

];

SECTION APPLICATION;

ADGROUP DOES NOT WORK:

SECTION ACCESS;

LOAD * INLINE [

    ACCESS, NTNAME, AREAID, REGIONID, TERRITORYID

ADMIN, QVSENSE

USER, INTERNAL\SA_SCHEDULER

USER, DOMAIN\ADGROUP

USER, DOMAIN\ADGROUP, 01

USER, DOMAIN\ADGROUP, 02, P111111

USER, DOMAIN\ADGROUP, 08, K111111

];

SECTION APPLICATION;

Any Ideas?

I have tried UPPER(NTNAME), and also doing all caps on the ADGROUP field without the upper function.

THANKS!

You need to put the groups in a separate field. See Tips and tricks for section access in Qlik Sense (2.0+)
