Adding a New Column

Hello Experts I need help updating an exiting app. I would like to add a new column to the data source. It is not a calculated column. When I add a new column and reload the data the new column does not get loaded to the app. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Make sure the new field is listed in the LOAD statement of the source data and any subsequent Resident LOAD (if any).

Thanks but that does not solve my issue. I would like to use the data manager. The new column is added to the source file and I want it to show on the app. When I do a reload the new column is no where to be found. Help please

OK. It sounds that your app is still pointing to the old file.  Have you drag and drop the new file?  it will ask you replace the one that's already attached. Say Replace

Thanks AlbertoV,  your solution solved my issue for excel data source. I now need to add new columns to an app with a web connection. I added the new column and reloaded the app but that did not seem to solve the issue. Am I missing something or is it different if  my app is using a web connection?

Good to hear it worked. I suggest you close this thread by accepting the solution and start a new one with a few more details.  What do you mean by web connection, are you loading through data manager, etc.... Screenshots are also very helpful.
