Aggregation question in ui

Hi Experts,

In Table Box i have two dimensions like Name and branch

Mesure as Sum(Sales)

Here the total header is not getting correct by qlik auto total. So i have changed the expression like

Sum(aggr(Sum(Sales),Name,Branch) then its working fine.

But question is when data increased in the backend is UI will slow in front end because of aggregation function?

Yes, Aggr() function is heavy. the more the data increases the more it becomes heavy

agree with youssefbelloum but what data sizes are we talking about? and server size

aggr is used widely with qlik. but i feel concern with data size depends on scenario .

few million rows shouldnt be an issue if its 100s of millions you may need to think of aggregating it script level

Agree.  You need to calculate it back end else be ready for slow responses as data grows.

Have you tried changing "Auto" to "Sum" for the totals function? Does it help?
