Are there .qar files or something similar for Qlik sense?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I could use a .qar format for my qlik sense extensions like with Qlikview. If this isn't possible, is there an alternative that does the same? I tried googling for auto installing files etc. but I couldn't find anything.

Sorry, there is nothing like that. You'll need a zip file for Qlik Sense server, and copying the files to My Document\Qlik\Sense\Extensions for Qlik Sense desktop yourself. For desktop you also need to make sure that there are no duplicate qext files.

you can't install a qlikview extension on qlik sense because the files needed are different.

I realise that, but I don't want to use qlikview files, I want to use qlik sense files. I just want to replicate the idea behind a .qar file.

Hi,

I suppose you could write a bat file that copies the files to the correct location (for Qlik Sense Desktop) or makes the rest call for QMC installation but there is nothing like that in the product.
