New to Qlik Sense

I need to bring through some stats about Emails we hold on our server on public folders into a Qlik Dashboard.

Is it possible to connect directly to the Exchange Server from Qlik Sense or do I need to create an Intermediary step to bring email stats into a database like SQL or ACCESS before connecting to that?

I can try directly using Web connectors > Mailbox Connector
