Can anyone explain Year to date function with a real time example

Hi Shruthi it is generally termed as YTD sales, for eg if you are running a business and you have written every transaction of sales in an excel and today you want to see till this day what is your sales for this year then it is termed as YTD Sales.

it is a common metric in BI not only in Qlikview.

certain other metrics are QTD, MTD, WTD
