Can section access prevent opening of app?

Hello,

Our devs are encountering the following situation: when they duplicate certain QlikSense apps that are published in streams on our production server, the duplicates show up in Work as expected, but when they try to open one for editing, they get an "Access is Denied" error message. When they view the app's User Access through the QMC, they have full RUDP rights, ditto for the stream from which it was duplicated. This only happens for some apps, not all.

Is it possible that it's a section access configuration issue? I thought section access only affected what data a user can see once the app is open, not control whether or not the user can open it.

Thanks,

Steve

Apparently Section Access (or lack thereof) can, in fact, prevent you from opening the app and display an Access is Denied error.
