Combining Two Types of Date into One Common Dimension

Hello Qlik Fam,

I am working on a Sales Dashboard, it has Direct Sales and Indirect Sales. The Direct Sales Years are 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and Indirect Sales Years are also the same.

In order to do the year by year Analysis on Total Sales [Direct + Indirect], I want to combine these Direct & Indirect Sales Years to one Common Dimension called "Year of Sales".

Please advise how this could be done in Qlik Sense, your guidance on this matter is highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

Create the composite key in script editor and use it in front end.

like,

Table1:

load

Direct &Indirect as Year of sales   // Composite key

FROM
[C:\Users\Desktop\top 10 sales.xlsx]
(ooxml, embedded labels, table is Sheet3);
