Connecting QlikSense Desktop to QlikSense Server

Hi

I have a QLIKSENSE DESKTOP that i downloaded from Qlik Site. I have a licensed QlikSense server from which i generated user authentication link and opened it using QlikSense. I tried to publish the workbooks i have in QlikSense desktop but there is no publish option when i right lick on any of the workbooks. Can you help me with this pls? Thanks !

I don't think so there is option for publish when you connecting via desktop version.

If so how can we publish the workbooks to Qliksense Server ?

You need to import it via QMC and then you will able to publish in respective stream.

I got the user authentication link from my qliksense server account.. In another system, where i have qliksense desktop i used the same URL and logged in.. I think the connection is established but still am not able to publish

There is no option to publish app via Desktop as well as Qlik hub.

To publish app you need QMC access. If you are doing development using desktop edition then you need to import your application into QMC and then publish it.

If you are using Qlik hub for development then you can able to publish application directly from QMC (there you do not need to import application)

On hub you have option to publish application on right click of mouse.
But for desktop you need to import application using QMC

The Publish feature is a server feature that deploys and shares apps in streams. It is not available or relevant in Desktop.

To deploy a desktop app to Qliksense Server, you will need to import the app via QMC.  This will put the app into your personal work space on the server. Once the app is on the server, you can publish it to a stream from QMC or by right-clicking the work app.
