Could not find Oracle provider

Hi All,

I have a QVF file imported into QS hub and wanted to create a Oracle connection string. I have installed Oracle client in the server where QS server is installed and I have my TNSNames file updated with proper connection strings.

I am unable to find the provider "Oracle provider for OLEDB" though Oracle client is installed. (Attached screenshot for reference)

Can you please advise what could be the issue here.

Thank  you.

Regards,

Chenna

Installing the Oracle Client doesn't always mean you also installed the OLEDB provider. It depends on the type of installation you did. Try the Custom install option to check if the OLEDB provider is already installed and add it if it wasn't.

the best way is Get ODAC (Oracle Data Access Components) this surely contains oledb provider.

Does it change if you check/uncheck "Force 32 bit"?

Hi All,

We were able to solve this by installing another instance of Oracle 11. there was some issue with the earlier oracle software.
