Covert QlikView CALs to Qlik Sense Tokens

Hi,

I am trying to understand and plan activities needed for migrating QlikView based client to Qlik Sense. So I have a client that has QlikView Server with couple of mixed CALs. The client decided to upgrade to Qlik Sense.

I found couple if links that help me defined the required activities to do the migration from QVW to QVF. However I didn't find any article speaking about converting the CALs to Tokens.

Can someone help me with the needed activities to achieve the same?

hi

not sure what you are looking for ,

but in order to technically convert the license , you should approach your regional Qlik employee that handle licensing

and ask to convert the license , the conversion ratio is

  • 1 Named CAL : 1 Token
  • 4 Doc CAL : 1 Token
  • 1 Session CAL : 11 Tokens
  • 15 Usage CALs : 1 Token

  • 1 Session CAL : 11 Tokens   Is it right??

Yes, it is correct

1 Session CAL gives you 11 Tokens

So, Session CAL is having high weight-age than Named CAL, how it is? Any logic behind this?

A QlikView session CAL is costing ~11 times as much as a Named CAL. Therefore it can also be converted to 11 times the value of a Token. Make sense to me

Okay, got it.

I missed costing part of both the license.

Thanks for clarification!!
