Create new connection (OLE DB) issue

Hi All,

I tried to create a new OLE DB connection in Qlik Sense Desktop but having Connector connect error: {0}.

All credentials have been supplied correctly.

Test Connection, it was successful.

I only encountered the error when clicking Create button.

Thanks.

Dumb question.  I assume that you selected a database after you did the Test Connection and that worked fine?

Yes. Database was selected. The only issue was that when clicking Create button.

These were the steps.

- Clicked Create new connection

- Selected Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server

- Put file path/server name

- Supplied specific username and password

- Did a test connection (Successful)

- Clicked Load database

- Clicked Create button

Also tried to use other OLE DB provider such as Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider but same error.

IS that issue still persist? Really difficult to explain. But here are few

- I've tested with same error - The moment i am using ACCDB (But, Without username and password i got success)

- But, your case is SQL Server (I believe check with SQL server and let us know whether they have given credentials)

Hi Anil,

Yes, issue still persists.

Also tried creating connection to accdb and mdb using MS Jet 4.0 OLE DB with or without pw. But no luck.

With regards to SQL Server, they have provided login credentials.
