Create new regions in a map

Hello community,

Instead of creating a layer of administrative regions of a country, i want to show commercial regions that are defined by new delimitations that i have. Is this possible ?

Hi Ali,

you can add any KML file to the map, you can define any area.

You should have the border coordinatas of the new area layer.

i have an excel file with the newly defined regions, i need to add latitude and longitude right? and in the layers i need to use the geomakepoint as the dimension?

It depends, with point layer you can add the coordinates easily into longitude+lattitude field.

I suppose it would be an area layer, that is more complicated.I suggest you to make a KML file based on the excel. You need have the coordinatas of borders.

Yes, it's a bit complicated to create the borders of the regions. I'll try a KML file, other wise i'm just going to try another platform to create my map.
