Creating a calculated column with an if statement

The only calculation options I see when I try to create a new calculated column are arithmatic calculations such as + - etc. I need to create it using an if statement

You do have that options. Check here:

Thanks. I was able to create calculated fields based on your second link. Now I need to create a pivot table. How do i create a pivot table based on the table I just created with the calculated columns?

There is an object type -> Pivot table. You need to use that to create a pivot table. A regular table cannot be converted to Pivot table (at least that's what I know based on my limited knowledge of Qlik Sense)

Update: You should be able to copy paste your calculated dimension to the pivot table

Or look here to create master dimension (and also master expressions)

Thanks. I am using that object pivot table to create a pivot table. It is just that I want that pivot table to get the fields from these calculated fields but I am not able to.
