Hi,
Appreciate if anyone could help me with creating a drop down list boxes for "Month" and "Fiscal Year" fields which i derive from a Master Calendar.
I got data covering Fiscal Year, 2017/18 and 2018/19. Further to that, since each fiscal year got 12 months each, if I simply create a table and add Fiscal Year and Month dimensions, I will have a total of 24 records which does not give a decent look to the application.
Thus, I am interested in knowing how I could accomplish this task?
I found the use of Multi Box property but couldn't figure it out how to implement it in qlik sense.
Division | Sales Orders | Actual Cost | Budgeted Cost | Variance |
A | 5 | 1500 | 1450 | -50 |
B | 6 | 1560 | 1600 | 40 |
C | 4 | 1600 | 1500 | -100 |
D | 5 | 1700 | 1800 | 100 |
E | 8 | 2000 | 1950 | -50 |
Assume I got a table like above(with more data rows) and want to calculate the variance based on the user selected "Fiscal Year" and "Month" for each "Division".
Hope the question is clear and look forward to hearing from someone.
Thanks.
Kind regards,
Andy
You can use Filter Pane to Use multiple filter in one object.
Use Qlik Sense filter and reduce it size two one row height then it will automatically show only with header.

Hi Shraddha,
Sorry for unmarking the answer as Correct.
Actually, when I created the Filter Pane and add the respective two columns ( Fiscal Year and Month) from the Master Calendar, I am getting an additional Fiscal Year output of "2016/17" where in my data set, I do not have data related to 2016/17.
The date format I am using is d/mm/yyyy. Even surprisingly, the 2016/17 also got some data values which I cannot figure it out. Is it some issue with the use of Filter Pane or should I use some additions to the above?
Awaiting for your reply.
Thanks.
Andy
Hi Shraddha,
I think my Qlik Sense application is running bit wired.
No idea where is the issue.
Anyway, thanks for your help.
Regards,
Andy
This can not be the issue with Filter Pane.
Check with the data source.
