While connecting my csv file to the already prepared QVF file through add my data option > connect my data > delimited file > path , the elapsed time window showing an error .. Data loading error. Go to the data loading editor and edit the script.

Try to put your csv and qvf files at the same folder.

Error is not descriptive enough. Did filename/sheet name of excel changed?

Can you please elaborate on the issue. I haven't changed any file name or sheet.

If you want I can paste the full script.

Looks like file doesn't exist in the location "Alteryx Inputs" folder.

Try going to edit script and click on "Alteryx Inputs" data connection and see if you can find your excel file.

Actually "Alteryx Inputs" folder is unable to create inside library as such. It requires one more folder ( eg: Documents or Pictures.). Thus i tried to create a folder named 'Alteryx Inputs ' inside my lib>document folder and saved the file and re write the script and run . Still the error persists.

Please help me for a way out for this error.

Is it really required to have all supporting file for QVF file in our system once the  file is created.

I got one QVF file from my client for report hand over and every week I am getting new week csv file for connecting to my QVF file shared. In this case the data loading error is happening asit says old file paths for QVF are not available.

Please throw some light on this issue.

So every week if the file name changes then YES, you have to rename the file name or needs to change the script in QVF. I would suggest to use a generic file name so that it load properly.

Remember to keep the names consistent every week.

1. Folder Location

2. Excel/Csv File name

3. Format of excel/csv. If is .CSV then maintain as .CSV

4. Field Names in Excel/CSV

5. Sheet Name in Excel/CSV

There are other ways to read data even above changes, but it requires in creating some complex queries.
