Database credentials are saved in plain text in Qlik Sense Desktop

According to help:

In Qlik Sense Desktop, all connections are saved in the app without encryption. This includes possible details about user name, password, and file path that you have entered when creating the connection. This means that all these details may be available in plain text if you share the app with another user. You need to consider this while designing an app for sharing.

In Qlick Sense Desktop application file is qvf file - binary. I wonder where user name and password may be stored in clear text ? It is important to know because of security policy of our company - database credentials should not be stored in clear text.

Qlik Sense Desktop is meant for personal use. It is not an enterprise application. If you intend to use it like that even though it has not been designed for it then any problems with policies and features required by your company are, well, your problem basically. What's the reason you don't use Qlik Sense Enterprise instead?

Thanks for your reply but it doesn't answer my question though. The reason we don't use Enterprise is that now we think Desktop is secure enough for us. Once again - the doc says that is insecure but we can not see where exactly credentials are visible in clear text. If it is really the case we will move to enterprise.

The question remains - where exactly credentials may be stored/visible in clear text in Qlick Sense Desktop ?
