Defining KPI value by date (formulaic)

I am trying to display the most current value from my time series that I've designated as the measure value.   Currently, the KPI app is aggregating all of the time series values across the periods.   I works only when I select a point in time, but that would impact all of the other charts.   How do I display the most current value within a defined period?

Hi,

Thank you for responding to my post. 

Currently, I can only specify sum, max, min, avg as my aggregating functions so I chose Max and it results in displaying the maximum value for the time series in the KPI application.   However, the desired outcome is to display the most current period. 

Is there a way to set the thresholds/ filter for the KPI?
