Do we have any row limit in QVD?

Just want to know if there is any row limit that I can store in QVD? Also as per my assumption QVD is for data set.. please correct me if I am wrong?

How many rows do you have?

I have several QVDs with over 4M rows.  I'm sure you can go much higher than that.  But don't know what if any limit there is.

Using QVD as your data source for the dashboard is much more efficient.

With 52 fields and 78 million records I recently created a qvd, that works fine for us. Qvd is data file like excel, csv etc but it can be read only by QVW. You can load millions of records very quickly by optimizing your load in qvw.

The same is true of a qvf as a qvw.

Creating the QVD in extract task and then using it as the data source into your app is the way to go.
