Error: Connector reply error: Unable to connect to database:

App reload failed due to following error:

Error: Connector reply error: Unable to connect to database:
Error message:
Please check the values for Username‚ Password‚ Host and other properties.
Description: Client unable to establish connection

After getting this error I manually reloaded the app and it got reloaded without any error. After this the reloads are running properly. 

Want to know the root cause why did the reload failed. As after manual reload it started working normal.

Hi There,

It might be due to multi node architecture. Please check if you have similar data connection / DNS across all RIM nodes.

At first case your request might be routing to RIM node having no DNS

And on you second try it would have connected / routed to central node.

I am using Single Node environment.

Please check with Database administrator. There might be network glitch at that moment.

Hi Suchit,


I was getting the same error. The first time, I reloaded the app, it threw the error and the task failed. The second time around, my task reloads fine from both the Hub and QMC but the log always mentions this error. I too have single node environment. 

But then I found this article https://support.qlik.com/articles/000041671 that suggests that this is alright as long as we are reading the active logging files. The error comes up when the app is unable to read old archived log files post-upgrade.
