Error-Message from a data reloading task

Hi everyone,

after copying and publishing an app to the Qlik Sense Server Hub, I have setup a data reloading task for this app in the QMC using a daily trigger. The reloading task tries to connect to an ODBC database, but the task fails. The error message comes from the Microsoft ODBC Driver Manager when trying to connect to the database. The message is "Name of the data source could not be found".

The manual data load on the Qlik Sense Desktop using the OBDC driver always worked.

Can anyone tell me what the problem could be?

Thank You very much,

Wolfgang

The ODBC DSN needs to be set up on the server.

Hey Wolfgang

Is this an app you imported straight from Desktop to Server ? If it is, did you remember to create the connection object in the App again ? Although your coded references to the connection remain, the actual connection is lost. Anyway I presume you did this.

Next, does the server actually have the ODBC Driver manager added ? Are you connecting to SQLServer ? In which case a OLEDB connection may serve you better.

cheers

Paul

Hi Wolfgang,

A system DSN has to be created in the server environment as well. Once created, the reloads should start working the way they have on the desktop version.

Thanks,

Sangram.
