Exporting with published app

‌We, the company I work for, are on the point of investing in Qlik Sense.

One essential feature is to export a table (and pivot since 2.2) to excel. I know Qlik Sense isn't a reporting tool....

Can anyone confirm when an app is published in a stream I can grant the action to export to excel / pdf etc via security rules.  So that every user can use this option. I've read the help and watched some video's.

Just want to be sure that this is possible.

Tnx.

Every user can export the data from apps that they can see, except for anonymous users, due to the ExportAppData security rule.

As with any default security rule, please disable it if you want to work-around that functionality. Re-creating those are time consuming and disabling it will allow you to try to create something that achieves the functionality that you're looking for without entirely removing the default security rule.

Hi Peter,

If a user have grant to see an application, he/she will grant to export data automatically.
