External drive connection

Hi guys,

I am trying to create a connection to an external folder but it does not appear as option.. any clue.

Pd. I have already added it as new drive and I can reach it from Windows Explorer but not from QMC

Hi Tom,

I already tried that even with just the IP it says Invalid path.

It does ask me for any permission to be granted when I access it from explorer.

Are those the qlik services?

So the reason why you can't connect to the external folder is that the user running qlik doesn't have access to it.

Sorry, I just sent "any" service..

The actual Qlik Services are these:

so you will need to grant the user .\qsservice access to the folder\drive you are trying to connect to

I reckon this is out of Qlik context now, but do you have any documentation I can follow to achieve this?
