Failing Installation QlikSense Desktop June 2019

Hi all,

Trying to dowload the latest QlikSense Desktop June 2019 version I'm getting an error message saying 'An error has occurred; Qlik Sense Desktop Install Failure'

I've tested the following options to solve this problem:
First of all, I'm installing the software on a Win10 machine. Just installed the QlikView desktop without any problems. Furthermore, I'm not trying to install the software on a server or environment with business policy security rules.
Also, I made sure to block the virusscanner during the installation.

When the first try failed I tried to fix the installation by installing it as an administrator. When this didn't work I unpacked the setup with the command-line *.exe -layout to extract the MSI files.
Also the MSI returns the same error. Deleted all files from appdata, programdata and the register and tried it again to a different partition. Still the same error.

The log files I retrieved with the error message are included.

Who can tell what's going on here? Many thanks!

Do the custom installation and change the repository location from C:/Program data to somewhere else.

Hello,

it seems you have issues writing the registry keys during the installation

MSI (s) (F0:D0) [21:53:26:157]: Product: Qlik Sense Desktop -- Error 1406. Could not write value F_SenseDesktop to key \Products\6F2DD32EF58765940B0C767F8BF9BAEB\Features. System error . Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

Have you checked if an Antivirus or Maleware scanner is blocking the registry changes?
