Graph that changes based on selection - Qlik Community

I am trying to create a graph that changes its data based on the year or month chosen by the user via a list. I am completely new to qlik and have no idea how to go about doing this. Ill try to explain a bit more below

Year	Month
2012	Jan
2013	Feb
2014	March
	etc

Basically I want to have a list like you see above. When the user clicks on a year, say 2012, the bar graph will change its data to show only data from 2012. How can I do this?

Is the measure you are using or want to use in your bar chart associated to a year and month i.e. does each row of your data have a year and month? if it is you should be able to create filter panes from the year and month and your chart will filter appropriately as that is core functionality of Qlik. If they are not associated then you need to link them.
