Hello everyone,
can anyone explain how the data is stored in qlikview if we are not holding/ storing the data in qvd file? if possible explain with example.
Hi Pawar,
Lets assume you have an excel file which you created just now and added 10000 rows in that file, now think where this data is stored ? Just like if you load data into a QlikView file and save it the data is stored with in the file , observe the file size of qvw when it is initially created and after loading data.

Hi Kiran,
So its like whenever I am going to access particular qvw file respective data will get copied from main memory to ram.
and one more question is it optimized data as we are getting in qvd file? or it is optimized but less as compared to qvd file
Whether you load it from qvd or from other file or data base there wont be any difference once it is sitting in qvw, the only difference which makes is while we are loading from qvd you can get optimized load (speed in loading) and one more advantage of storing in qvd is data is stored in binary format (in qvd)
