How to allow user to load data

Hi,

I already setup a data connection to a specific Excel file and worksheet. This Excel file is located in a shared folder which user can update the Excel content on their own.

But how to allow user to trigger the data loading manually when they update the content of the Excel file? I don't want to allow user to edit the app but only allow them to load data. Is this doable?

You can create an EDX trigger.  If you do a search on this forum you will find a number of threads and discussions on how to do it.

You can try using this extension: GitHub - mhamano/Qlik-Sense-Reload-Button: Reload Button for Qlik Sense. Note, you'll also have to add a security rule to allow a user (or a group of users) to reload that specific app (or any app). There's an example at the bottom of the github page of the extension.
