How to assign alias to qliksense server(host machine)

Greetings to All,

When we open hub from any browser via link (http://hostname/hub) . We want to assign an alias or a specific string so that the same can be used in this URL for opening hub/QMC from any browser.

Is it possible ? If yes please suggest the procedure for the same.

Hub: (http://hostname/hub) .Instead of hostname\server computer's full name .

Eg:

We want to replace host machine name to a string like "qlikproject" to access hub and QMC via explorer .

https://qlikproject/hub

Any idea if it is possible or not. If yes than guide

Hi Parul

I believe this is possible when you upgrade to QlikSense Server June 2017.

The installation process asks for a "hostname" which points to the QlikSense server.

I am investigating if a sub domain can be used, and it looks as though a SSL certificate is also needed, but it would seem to provide what you are wanting to do.
