Hi all,
I'm able to connect to most of the databases I want to through OLEDB because they are SQL servers. However, I'm having some trouble connecting with MS Navision 5.0. Can anyone offer a simple walkthrough for me? Thanks.
Hi
If you search on this forum for Navision 4, you will see there is some advice on connections. I have no experience of QlikSense, but I use QlikView with NAV and assume its similar. I use the ODBC connector.
Hope it helps.
Does this require the use of a specific driver? If so, is this a free product to download?
Hi Jordan,
perhaps NAVdiscovery (Qlik Toolbox for Dynamics NAV) can help you with your problems.
It was developed specifically for users of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Qlik Sense and QlikView.
NAVdiscovery minimizes the preliminary technical Work required to integrate and connect the systems, automates script creation and offers many other features.

Hi
I thought the appropriate ODBC driver was installed along with NAV. Perhaps you could ask your software advisor ?
Regards
That's what I had originally assumed. However, when I click ODBC to make a new connection, there are no drivers listed.
I think you might need to speak to your local IT guys who setup permissions etc. They could install the driver, or failing that, your NAV software provider.
Hi,
this is Claudius from prisma informatik in Germany. We are Qlik Solution Provider and Dynamics NAV Partner.
The problem is, that Dynamics NAV ODBC Driver is 32bit. You have to call the ODBC32bit program to configure ir on your device. The standard ODBC Setting is for the 64bit drivers.
I hope this will help you.

This looks like being just the tick box on the connection screen ?
