How to supply password for my users imported from Excel in QMC?

Hi all,

I have imported users into my User Directory Services using Microsoft Excel. It includes the userid's.

However there is no column for passwords.

When I try to login as a user, it does not authenticate because there is no valid userid and password for the user.

How can I setup userid's and password for my users and import them to Qlik Sense?

Hi Michael,

Normally Qlik Sense is connected to your windows authentication service (Active Directory) which contains the username and passwords for all users in your Windows domain.

If you wish to authenticate your users from your Excel file you need to create a new User Directory Service to handle those users. Perhaps this example will be useful:
