Is there a forecast function in Qlik like in Excel?

Hello Qlik Community,

I just wanted to know if there is a forecast function like in Excel in Qlik?  If not directly, has anyone heard of a forecast plugin?  Thanks folks!

I dont think there a straight forward option in Qlik Sense. Where as we have an option in Qlikview.

See if you can mimic these in QLik Sense.

Thank you Phaneendra, but I do not have Qlikview.  Could you post an example here?  Thanks a lot!

Hi Guys - Just trying to help out here.... I looked at the sample referenced in this post, and correct me if I am mistaken - but that example looks more like "what-if" analysis - as it is just multiplying a variable or user input to the price. Is that what the original poster is looking for?

Please verify,

Hi Mike,

Nope, user is looking to forecast the data. We usually use "linest" function in qlikview or in qlikview there is "Forecast/Backcast" options in line charts--> axes tab.

Nsikak wants to do the same using Qlik Sense. Something like you will have data lets say July 2016, but want to forecast the data until Dec 2016 meaning you need to project the data.

Thank you Mike and Phaneendra, yes, Phaneendra has the correct idea.  We need to project data for future time.  Thanks.
