Not out of the box. You have to use "Always One Selected" option from this Extension. Find the extension in attachments section.

Thanks guys For your help, I am still reviewing some of the suggestions, so far, bi-era.com_listbox does not work for me because even when I can set it to alow only one selected value , when i go to the Filter bar in the top ( not sure its name) i can manipulate the selection and chose more than one value and that new selection is passed to the listbox object, We need that the user can not select more than one value

Thanks  Phannendra, it does not work very weel for me because you still can select more than one value in the fileter bar , I need to find  a way to restrict any possible selection of one more value

Not exactly Balraj, yout post restricts the list of values, i need to restrict the quantity of possible selections to one

I finally will use bi-era.com_listbox, since it is the closest option to what I intend to do
