Hi I am getting error "You do not have access to the database" while connecting to SQL database from Qlik Sense server.
I have successfully created the system DSN and is able to connect through Qlik View desktop in the same server.
However, from the Qlik Sense hub i am getting the error.
While you use desktop, you connect to the DB using your Windows user, whereas, while trying to connect using qv server , your Service Account (that was used during qv server installation) is used. Create your DSN using Service Account, it should work.
I have made a Super admin user as qlik.admin through whoch i installed the server and now i am connecting the sql using same credential.
Are you using ODBC or OLEDB ??
If ODBC please create the ODBC connection in Administrative Tools.
Else OLEDB you will connect directly in Qlik sense ..
I have made the system DSN first , then connect it through Qlik view as well as Qlik sense.
No issues with Qlik view but error in Qlik sense server.
Tried with OLEDB as well with same result.
Are you trying to connect with the same 64-bit connector for Qlik sense??
Please create ODBC connection with Root admin / Content Admin
Earlier i had not specified user for Services, hence the services was running through local user by default.
Now i re-installed the server running the services with admin user as for some reason it was not allowing me to change the user for the services.
Now it's working absolutely fine.
