Labelling and Colouring segments in stacked bar

I have a stacked bar graph where each segment one bar is defined by a different measure

1 dimension, 5 measures

Problem 1

i cannot seem to color each segment as you cant color measures

Problem 2

i cannot label each segment of the graph, just the whole stack.

these type of problems are particularly annoying as they could all be done in qlikview really easily.

where i work we are evaluating BI tools and i have to say, these silly problems are pushing me away from sense .

even changing the background isnt an option.

also just tried using custom colors in a separate line graph using pick(match)) which works..but then the legend vanishes!

is this also unavoidable?

For colors I guess you can give an expression in Colors & Legend?

Colors>Custom>By expression>

by expression is a problem as i have 5 measures (which draw from 5 columns in the database)

so the usual pick(match()) or nested IF wont work

By any chance can you upload the test qvf here and your requirements on what color you need for each measure.
