Mapping 2 different table to get end dates to data

Hi,

I am stuck with request from customer.

I have a two lookup tables which i need to add to main data to get end date.

1st standard days to add with start data to get end date. 2nd exception days to replace with standard table and get end date. I am not sure how we can do it in qlik.

I have attached my sample version of the data, request if any one can help. Thank you.

Hi,

While it is possible to write a script to build a mapping table from 'Standard Lookup' for countries where you have no exceptions and then add the exceptions to produce a table that can join on both Name (country) and Task Name to your data tab, there is also a low tech approach.

If your list of countries does not change very much (which it might not, while lists like this can change that is often a big thing & so as long as whoever is maintaining the system knows it needs to be updated, or it spits out some kind of unmapped country error), you could just create that in MS Excel & then have a simple script.

Cheers,

Chris.
